Additional Course Details

Based On Approval

Courses and schedule must be approved by Valencia Tutors Learning Center.

NUMBER OF STUDENTS

Classes that become too full or a minimum number of students are re-directed to an alternate section.

INSTRUCTIONAL PACING

Students are required to maintain certain competency levels. If levels are not maintained, the student must attend on Fridays 1:00 – 3:00 PM to reinforce educational concepts and get back on pace level.

FRIDAY CLASSES

2 Hours of instruction time is offered each and every Friday. * Additional cost for instruction is $50. This is beneficial to students who need to get back on pace or students who seek to improve their understanding of a subject and also prepare for exams.

ATTENDANCE

Courses are taught at an accelerated pace during the summer. Missed sessions significantly impact progress and success. Any missed classes MUST be made-up on Friday of the same week.

MISSED CLASSES

Students are required to make-up classes on Fridays. * Additional cost of $30 for missed classes.

Fall Semester

FALL Semester SAT / ACT / PSAT Test Prep affords students the opportunity to maximize exam scores. Students may attend Test Prep sessions throughout the year and also schedule private sessions with our Test Prep Specialist to focus on specific sections or areas of difficulty.

SAT Prep

SAT Prep offers personalized instruction to prepare RISING SENIORS AND JUNIORS for college entrance tests. Students should prepare and take the SAT in the fall.

ACT Prep

ACT Prep provides personalized instruction to prepare students for the ACT standardized test. Students should prepare and take the ACT in the fall.

PSAT Prep provides RISING JUNIORS preparation to qualify for Merit Scholarship. Students should prepare and take the PSAT in the fall.

DIAGNOSTIC TESTING

Before your student begins their SAT / ACT / PSAT Workshop… consider taking a “diagnostic” practice test prior to the workshop start date. This allows Valencia Tutors SAT Prep Teachers to access your child’s strengths and weaknesses throughout different areas of the test. It also provides a baseline to see how much improvement was gained throughout the test prep session.
