Math & Language Arts

Common Core Prep & Readiness

This program is designed to cover the common core curriculum for the upcoming, grade appropriate standards. Students will have the opportunity to preview the standards for both math and language arts and choose an elective class in one of the following, Spanish, life skills or handwriting.

Valencia Tutors Learn Center has an exclusive relationship with Brandman University wherein students can take a college course and earn both high school and college credit. Cost is $500 – $600 per course, plus instructional time purchased at block rates. ASK US MORE!

Additional Course Details

NUMBER OF STUDENTS

Classes that become too full or a minimum number of students are re-directed to an alternate section.

INSTRUCTIONAL PACING

Students are required to maintain certain competency levels. If levels are not maintained, the student must attend on Fridays 1:00 – 3:00 PM to reinforce educational concepts and get back on pace level.

FRIDAY CLASSES

2 Hours of instruction time is offered each and every Friday. * Additional cost for instruction is $50. This is beneficial to students who need to get back on pace or students who seek to improve their understanding of a subject and also prepare for exams.

ATTENDANCE

Courses are taught at an accelerated pace during the summer. Missed sessions significantly impact progress and success. Any missed classes MUST be made-up on Friday of the same week.

MISSED CLASSES

As agreed upon in the Academic Support Form missed classes are charged in full.
